Practically from its inception, Pure Life Ministries has been involved in prison outreach.

If you are a prison chaplain, minister or volunteer involved in “setting the captives free,” we’re particularly glad you’ve found us!

As you may be aware, according to the latest Department of Justice statistics, there are over two million people incarcerated in the United States. This represents the highest incarceration rate in the world, i.e., over 700 incarcerated per 100,000 of total population. Many of these men and women are attempting to live the Christian life in the challenging environment found in prison.

Of special interest to us here at Pure Life Ministries are sex offenders, who represent some 20% of the total prison population. While these individuals derive a certain amount of help through prison treatment programs, most of them are not receiving the spiritual answers that can truly set them free.

Tens of thousands of men and women are trying to live for God in the most difficult circumstances. Pure Life Ministries is working hand-in-hand with chaplains and other prison ministries to offer help to those behind bars.

Steve Gallagher shares the heart of Pure Life Ministries to reach those behind bars and bring hope to sex offenders and struggling inmates.

How Can We Help?

We provide chaplains and prison/jail ministry volunteers with FREE copies of At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry for men and Create in Me a Pure Heart for women. Both of these books have become foundational teaching resources for classes and workshops for both sex offenders and general populations. To date we have donated over 20,000 copies of At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry to prisons and jails free of charge. Please contact us (and indicate “Prison Ministry Inquiry”) to make a request for materials. Be sure to include a contact phone number.

Secondly, our materials can be purchased for a substantially reduced price directly by inmates. Prisoners can use this special catalog for this purpose.

In addition, we also send materials directly to inmates that are purchased by others on their behalf from our website. It is important that buyers verify before ordering that the institution allows book orders to be shipped directly to inmates.
