How can we help?

Struggling Women

Statistics are beginning to show a steady rise in the number of women ensnared by pornography and promiscuous sexual activity. Our own experience over the past several years confirms this. Though women are undoubtedly taking  some different paths into sexual sin than men traditionally have, the way out remains essentially the same - and we can help!

Reaching Out

For over two decades our primary focus at Pure Life Ministries (PLM) has been to help men overcome sexual sin. As the number of women struggling with pornography and sexual sin has increased, we have been considering how we can help.

We know the answers the Lord has given us over the years are powerful to break down strongholds. The challenge for struggling women is to get past the obvious fact that our books and articles are written primarily to men. The problem is nearly identical and the solutions Scripture offers to the struggling Christian are the same.

Steve Gallagher shares the growing need for ministry to struggling women and Pure Life Ministries' burden to meet that need.

Create in Me a Pure Heart
By Steve and Kathy Gallagher
For years all PLM had to offer struggling women were resources written to men. Create in Me a Pure Heart is the first book in a new line of resources that will be specifically tailored for women. In its opening pages, Steve and Kathy Gallagher dedicate this new book to "all the struggling women who are determined to fight for a holy life in God." And the woman who is ready to put her sin behind her will find it to both sympathize with her unique issues and illuminate a clear-cut path to freedom.

Beverly LaHaye calls it "groundbreaking... a clearly defined hope for deliverance." Clay and Renee Crosse note that "it will be a comfort and help to women who have felt isolated for far too long." And Lisa Bevere says it is a "straightforward, raw and urgent call to holiness." Learn more

Counseling Helpline
It is an undeniable fact that struggling women face a greater stigma regarding sexual sin than do men. Not only must they confront the same challenges of overcoming a pernicious habit, but many feel as though they must do it alone. Sometimes a woman just needs to talk to another woman who understands sexual sin. The one-time call can often help her determine what she is facing and the best course of action to take. Learn more

The At-Home Program
The struggling woman who is determined to regain control over her life soon realizes that, while a one-time call is helpful, the on-going support of a female counselor is invaluable. This program not only provides that crucial weekly telephone call, but it also lays out a course of action that will take the person into a life of victory. Learn more
