What is the suggested minimum age of the attendees?

The parent is the best judge of whether their child should attend an A Call to Purity Weekend, but we suggest a minimum age of 12 years for young men and girls when accompanied by an adult, and 15 when not. The unfortunate fact is that today’s young people are exposed to far more graphic information than ever before. By attending the Weekend, they will hear these subjects addressed from a godly perspective.

Who is the intended audience for this event?

The A Call to Purity Weekend is intended for both men and women who want to gain a biblical perspective to purity using God’s Word. We offer two types of events: A Call to Purity Weekend and A Call to Purity Weekend – Men Only! Once this is decided, the audience should consist of Christians and/or those drawn to Christianity.

Can we invite other churches to join us in hosting or sponsoring the Weekend?

Yes, in fact we strongly encourage that you use this Weekend as an event to reach out to other churches in your community. Having additional churches support the Weekend can lead to dynamic changes not only in the Body of Christ but also in the community at large.

Do you have follow-up materials that we can use?

The A Call to Purity Weekend experience seeks to inspire attendees to seek and follow God in a whole new way. This new hunger for God must then be cultivated and developed. For this reason, each Weekend participant receives one of three books, plus the accompanying workbook. These books have been chosen specifically for either individual or group study following the event. As part of the Weekend, the host church also receives a Leader’s Guide to facilitate a follow-up group for men using the book At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry.

We also offer a full range of teaching materials, Bible studies, teaching videos and audio CD series that can be used to supplement study on the subject of personal purity. You can check these out any time at our online bookstore.

If the A Call to Purity Weekend brings to the surface some issues of sexual sin among the men or women in our church, what can you do to assist us in dealing with the after effects?

We understand that the intense nature of this Weekend will bring up these issues, and we are prepared to help. Our counseling programs are specifically designed to minister to men and their wives after these issues arise. Our Live-In Program, located in Dry Ridge, KY, is an intensive 6 -12 month program for men who are desperate for help and freedom from sexual addictions. For men who cannot come to the Live-In Program or whose situation does not demand a residential program, our Overcomers At-Home (phone counseling) Program is available. Overcomers At-Home is also available for wives whose husbands are struggling, as well as for single women struggling to live in purity.
