Live-In Program
The Live-In Program is for men who are desperate for freedom and real answers to their sexual addictions. Most of the men who enroll in the program have been sobered by the price of sin, having exhausted all the "easy solutions." Desperate for change and tired of living in defeat, they are ready to hear from God.
The Apostle Paul said, "Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh." At the root, illicit sexual behavior is sin and must be treated as such. While enrolled, men will spend their time developing the Spirit-controlled life the New Testament teaches. Our goal is not just the breaking of the power of outward sin, but the complete transformation of a man's life through the power of Christ.
A Few Reasons Why The Live-In Program Is So Effective:
- The presence of God that brings a man into deep repentance
- The separation from the old sources of temptation
- The development of a life of discipline
- A controlled environment with extremely tight accountability
- Regular biblical counseling by men who have overcome sexual sin themselves
Daily Life
The Live-In Program is a minimum of six months long, and accepted applicants will be invited to start the program at the first available vacancy. Local temporary agencies provide employment for most participants, enabling them to pay for the cost of the program. Working also provides the men a daily opportunity to live out the spiritual principles they are learning. Throughout each week the participant's evenings are devoted to counseling, homework, chores, prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. Family visits may be arranged.
Our Campus
Situated on a high ridge in north-central Kentucky, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, our 45-acre campus is an ideal place to find God. Most men leave with precious memories of their time spent alone with the Lord in this serene setting.
Worship Services
There are three services held weekly in the PLM Chapel. For many men, it is during these times that God does His deepest work. The sobriety and reverence for God's presence in these meetings provoke a deep hunger to know the Lord and live for Him, which is ultimately their answer.
Counseling
Each man is assigned a personal counselor who has overcome habitual sexual sin himself and is trained in biblical counseling. The weekly curriculum is a combination of PLM materials and biblical homework/study. Through personal discipleship, our counselors focus on each individual's unique needs as they lead them into a consecrated life in God.
