Prison Inmates
According to the latest Department of Justice statistics, there are nearly 1½ million people incarcerated in the United States. Many of these men and women are attempting to live the Christian life in the challenging environment found in prison.
Of special interest to us here at Pure Life Ministries are the approximately 382,000 sex offenders under the care, control or custody of corrections agencies. While these men derive a certain amount of help through prison treatment
programs, most of them are not receiving the spiritual answers that can truly set them free.
Reaching Out
We at Pure Life Ministries (PLM) want incarcerated men and women struggling with sexual sin to receive the spiritual help they need. It is a goal of our ministry to establish the use of PLM teaching materials in at least 120 U.S. prisons by 2009.
At present, we offer help in the following ways:
> Working in conjunction with Mt. Zion Ministries and various prison chaplains, to date, PLM has provided over 20,000 copies of At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry to inmates free of charge.
> We also provide the books Living in Victory and Out of The Depths of Sexual Sin free of charge to chaplains and ministry workers.
> We provide inmates a correspondence version of our 24-week Bible Study curriculum called The Walk of Repentance.
> We facilitate chaplains and other ministers in teaching special classes using At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry and The Walk of Repentance in various prison facilities.
> We teach classes through At The Altar of Sexual Idolatry in select facilities.We hold special events in prison facilities.

Prison Ministry Coordinator
Jack Ruth is the Prison Ministry Coordinator for PLM. He served two prison terms in the New Jersey correctional system. In lieu of a third term, he was miraculously given the chance to rehabilitate in a homeless shelter in Albany, NY. Eventually he made it to Pure Life Ministries, where God radically changed his life. Today he spearheads this rapidly developing arm of the ministry to prison inmates. Read Jack's Story
