2019 Annual Conference Recap
Some time has passed since we gathered for our 2019 Annual Conference. We’re grateful for all who were able to join us this year as we were challenged and encouraged to endure “Through Many Dangers, Toils, and Snares.” The Holy Spirit spoke powerfully through the plenary sessions both corporately and individually:
Pastor Steve Gallagher challenged us to overcome the danger of apostasy by pursuing an intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ and allowing His life to spark a personal revival in our hearts!
Pastor Dave Leopold encouraged us to endure trials and toils by asking God to develop in us a “hunger” for more of Him. In more practical terms, he challenged us to pray and ask the Lord what it is that we need to put down. Much of what is in our heart just takes up space, so we have to put some things down before we can take up more of Him!
Pastor Glenn Meldrum taught us to avoid snares by focusing on Jesus, and challenged us, as Jesus Himself challenged the church at Ephesus in Revelation 2, to return to our first love. A rather simple and straightforward concept, but extremely difficult in these last days.
Please take some time to pray for those who came. Pray for perseverance and faithfulness. There is no doubt in our minds that the Lord lovingly challenged, rebuked, encouraged, and instructed all who came – to each as they needed it – and it can be so easy to let the things we heard slip away from us or to put off some act of obedience God wanted us to perform. So please pray for a follow-through for all that God accomplished that weekend, and praise God for the same, because He did great things!
Keep an eye out for upcoming details regarding next year’s Conference! We would love to have you join us.
