We really didn’t need the latest Barna poll to convince us that our nation has become pornified. If it is true that 75% of men and 40% of women in our churches are involved with pornography, how is it even possible for a pastor to effectively lead?
Pure Life Ministries can help! Pastors and counselors who face these issues on a regular basis are invited to a special time of training by those who deal with them day in and day out. This seminar will provide the kind of meaningful expertise needed in your pastoral and counseling work.

Session 1 – Counseling the Christian in Sexual Sin
Steve Gallagher
Jesus Christ was called “a friend of sinners,” not because He coddled people in their sin but because He so earnestly showed them the way to freedom. Sinners knew that He loved them. Pastors and counselors are given the wonderful opportunity—not to love people in their sin, but to love them out of their sin!
11:00am - 12:00pm
Session 2 – Ministering to LGBTQ+
Jordan Yoshimine & Gabriel Gonzalez
Ministering to someone who struggles with same sex attractions or gender identity issues can be very intimidating for the Christian who hasn’t experienced it. Pastors and counselors need not fear because the issues the gay person struggles with are not only fairly straightforward but are also easily addressed through Scripture.

Session 3 – Helping those in Lust & Pornography
Luke Imperato
During his years of service at Pure Life Ministries, Luke has ministered to countless men who have been bound by a powerful addiction to pornography. He has firsthand knowledge of what it is like to live in the lust-driven, sex-is-everything mindset perpetuated by the adult entertainment industry and how to break out of it. He will give a brief overview of what the Bible says on these issues as well as practical answers for those who bound by them.
2:00pm - 2:50pm
Session 4 – Sexual Sin in the MArriage
Jeff & Rose Colón
Christian marriages are under attack as never before and multitudes of couples are desperately asking, “Is there really hope for my marriage?” The answer is a resounding yes! Jeff and Rose Colon know from personal experience and from years of counseling that couples in crisis need something far more than outward alterations; they need inner transformation.

Session 5 – Q&A
Jeff & Rose Colón, Pure Life Counselors
Join Jeff & Rose Colón as well as Pure Life counselors for this unique opportunity to ask the hard questions. Their decades of experience will be at your disposal, whether you join in person or by livestream.

Steve Gallagher
During his 40 years of intense ministry to those bound in sexual sin, Steve Gallagher has led thousands of desperate souls into an encounter with the Cross. This experience has given him deep insight into the human heart and the unseen spiritual realm that surrounds us. Steve’s book, At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry has been used by countless pastors and counselors alike to better understand sexual sin. He holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Master’s International School of Divinity.

Luke Imperato
The Lord transformed Luke’s life at Pure Life Ministries in 2016, following 15 years of uncontrolled sexual immorality. He is an FBC Certified Biblical Counselor and currently serves as Director of the Residential Program. Luke previously served as a combat medic in the US Army in Afghanistan and also as a paramedic in New York for 12 years. In whatever setting he’s found himself, his passion has always been to help those in dire need.

Jeff & Rose Colón
In 1993, Jeff was addicted to crack cocaine and sexual sin in New York City. After many failures and much heartache, he entered the Pure Life Ministries Residential Program. Jeff had a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit there that forever changed his life. Jeff & Rose spent the next 22years of their lives ministering to men in sexual sin and their hurting wives. For the past 10 years he has pastored Lighthouse on the Rock Church. He and Rose both hold an MDiv. in Biblical Counseling.

Jordan Yoshimine
Jordan is the Director of the Overcomers At Home Discipleship Program. He also is actively involved in the Residential Program and a member of the Senior Staff. Jordan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California at Irvine. In the years before coming to Pure Life, he was involved in restaurant management: supervising, troubleshooting, training and development. He has been with the ministry since 2012.

Gabriel Gonzalez
Gabriel earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications with an emphasis in broadcasting management from the University of Mississippi. In his college and young-adult years, he traveled overseas on short‑term mission trips while pursuing success in the corporate world. But behind this was a double life marked by sexual sin and worldly ambition. In 2015, the Lord confronted him and eventually led him to the Pure Life Ministries Residential Program, where he experienced deep repentance and lasting transformation. Today, Gabriel serves as Manager of the Residential Program and a certified biblical counselor to men in both Residential and at‑home programs.
