Names in Scripture reveal much more about a person’s character than they do today. The name Jesus, or Yeshua, was no different.  It means Yahweh saves, and that meaning defined Christ’s mission on earth and His purpose for mankind. But this presented a problem for people of that time, as well as for many today. There are some who do not want the kind of salvation which Yeshua offers – salvation from sin.
