Taking Hold of God's Promises

Luke Imperato
Director of Residential Counseling

Pure Life Ministries has been a pioneer in dealing with sexual addiction and its consequences for over 35 years. During that span of time thousands of people have found freedom through our counseling programs and teaching materials.

The promises of God are something believers have clung to and rested in since the days of Abraham. But there is also a danger in misunderstanding or misapplying those promises—a lesson the people of Israel had to learn the hard way. God’s promises are not meant to be pulled out of context or treated as guarantees detached from the One who made them. So how should we approach the promises of God, and what should we keep in mind if we want to understand and apply them rightly?

Luke Imperato

The Lord transformed Luke’s life at Pure Life Ministries in 2016, following 15 years of uncontrolled sexual immorality. He is an FBC Certified Biblical Counselor and currently serves as Director of the Residential Program. Luke previously served as a combat medic in the US Army and was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. As a medic in both civilian and military environments, Luke’s passion has always been helping those in dire need. In his position with Pure Life Ministries, he now assists those bound in chains of sexual sin, that they might find hope and freedom through Jesus Christ.
