The Christian’s Greatest Threat
Fear may be normal, but that doesn't mean it should rule our lives. God created us to live in a childlike relationship with Him, where He, like a good Father, loves and cares for our every need, and we, like good children, simply trust Him to provide for those needs. But Adam and Eve doubted God’s character and chose to disobey Him, and ever since then, fear has drawn believers away from childlike faith in God and into a life of sin.
In today’s sermon, Asbury Theological Seminary professor John Oswalt delves into five distinct “fear not” passages in Isaiah, and challenges struggling believers to trust God and His promises despite what their fears may tell them. God has a life of victory in store for those who choose to believe!
