He begins by looking at the sermon as a whole, showing how its purpose is to reveal the true righteousness that defines God’s Kingdom. Nate then moves on to point out how that purpose is brought to a conclusion in Matthew Chapter 7. We learn that Jesus is very concerned with how we respond to what he’s spoken and is unafraid to share with us the consequences of failing to respond correctly. Yet even in this heavy truth, we find that Christ is eager to help us!
